What if the people who were monumental in Singapore's history had social media accounts back in the day? We reworked our history books into an immersive online experience for Singaporeans featuring 25 historical figures across seven centuries, with a wealth of stories told in a way like never before!
My Role:
I was the copy lead for this project that took about two years to complete. When the idea went into production, I managed the team of writers. As the gatekeeper of quality, I copyedited their work and made sure they adhered to the style guide, which I came up with for consistency across the characters.
I was the go-to person on the creative team who coordinated between the writers, art directors, planners, project managers and account servicing teams. Despite managing a project of this size, I also researched and wrote storylines for some characters such as Syed Omar Aljunied and William Farquhar. This included scripting videos for the opening introductions and writing ‘social posts’.
The project was officially launched by President Halimah Yaacob in 2019.

How Lee Kuan Yew's newsfeed would have looked like if he had a social media account.

The art was integral to this project as it kept the content engaging and light-hearted.

An example of how a long-form article was presented as a 'suggested post'.

We designed images to recreate the event as much as possible.
