PUB Social
Client: PUB
PUB started boosting its social media presence strongly around 2019, with in-depth content that is informative and entertaining.
My Role:
I was part of the PUB creative team that created editorial content to inform and educate the client’s target audience about its water-saving messages and the different roles its staff had in ensuring water got to our taps safely. For these three videos, I was the team lead who performed various duties such as overseeing and conceptualising the flow of the videos, interviewing the profiles and copywriting the social media posts. (DTSS Phase 2: Woo Lai Lynn) This was a one-day turnaround video, done with just a two-man team. I was the copywriter/editorial lead. It was a memorable shoot as we had to make snappy calls about who to interview on ground and how to make the audience interested in what a tunnel boring machine was.
(DTSS Phase 2: Woo Lai Lynn) PM Lee Hsien Lee Loong shared this video on his Facebook page, with members of the public congratulating the engineers on this amazing feat! This video was a gamechanger as it drew more eyeballs to PUB's Facebook page.
(A Surprise for Elaine) A woman wrote to us after she saw herself in an archival photo used in PUB's 2020 brand ad, so we decided to something memorable for her. This was filmed under COVID-19 restrictions, giving the production team an added challenge of ensuring guidelines were adhered to.
(A Surprise for Elaine) I was the copywriter/editorial lead, who also did the research and on-camera interview with Elaine and her brother. Her story of how she was photographed playing in the flood back in the 1970s was picked up by the Chinese media and many others shared similar stories on PUB's Facebook page.
(Fighting Midges) Midges came back with a vengeance in 2019, affecting residents in the west of Singapore. PUB asked us to do a video that would educate viewers about what it was doing to fight the pesky bugs and showcase the measures taken.
(Fighting Midges) This video was a good way to allay residents' fears of what was bugging them for months. Viewers left comments and said that the video was well explained and was supportive of the job that PUB was doing.
